It sounds like they have a build up of detergent in them that isn’t getting completely rinsed out. A build up of detergent can cause clothes to feel rough. And no your clothes won’t smell like vinegar. I don’t use fabric softener in my laundry just white vinegar and dryer balls.

As others have said you CAN add fabric softener or use dryer sheets. The problem with this is, it will ruin the Original i heart icp shirt also I will do this absorbency of your towels. A better solution is to run a load of towels on Hot with a cup of vinegar, then run again with a cup of baking soda. These will remove the residue that’s keeping your towels from feeling soft. Then, in the dryer, invest in some wool dryer balls or use a few tennis balls if you can’t get real wool dryer balls. The bouncing action while drying helps keep the towels fluffy. The benefit of the wool balls is that they help reduce static electricity.
